Alice Woodbourne Minot papers, 1860-1883.

Papers of Alice Woodbourne Minot, 1860-83, include correspondence with her parents William and Katharine Sedgwick Minot and brothers William and Henry regarding daily activities, family news, her trip to Europe, 1868-69, and condolence letters upon the death of her mother. Most of the letters are written by Alice from various locations including England, France, Germany, Italy, North Conway, New Hampshire, Nahant, Lenox, and at Woodbourne, the family home in West Roxbury, Mass. Two diaries kept sporadically, 1868-83, while traveling through Europe describe daily activites, cultural institutions visited, and life at home in West Roxbury during the final days of her mother's life.
